All 4th and 5th grade Scouts are invited to join the adventures of Webelos Resident Camp! Your Webelos will spend four days at Camp John J. Barnhardt hiking, shooting BB Guns and archery, swimming, making friends and more!

Webelos I’s will be completing the Aquanaut & Earth Rocks adventures. Webelos II’s/ Arrow of Light will be completing the Aquanaut & Into the Woods Adventures.

NYLT

National Youth Leadership Training

It’s NYLT!

National Youth Leadership Training gives your youth a chance to make a difference in their Troop or Crew by training them to be hands on and effective leaders! NYLT is a six-day course, to be held in two installments the first of which is July 14th- July 16th, and the second is August 4th- 6th, 2017. Youth will participate in intensive leadership development and training, and then bring their new skills back to their Troop or Crew. The course stresses how training, communication and good leadership is critical to the success for Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews.

Sneak-in Weekend

Bring the whole family out to Camp John J. Barnhardt for some summer Family Fun! This two-night adventure is for all Cub Scout ranks, including Webelos and their families to experience the adventure and excitement of Camp John J. Barnhardt. Some of our exciting activities include: 

swimming, BB guns, archery, fishing, volleyball, gaga ball and more!

Stuff-A-Shed for ScoutReach

 

Do you have a closet filled with out grown tents and sleeping bags? Have your Scouts recently updated their gear and you're still holding onto the old stuff? Help a Scout in need! 

 

The Central NC Council is starting a ScoutReach Shed for units who need to check out additional sleeping bags, tent, and other camping essentials! 

 

If you have any gently used camping essentals you are willing to donate to a Scout in need please bring your items to the Kannapolis or Albemarle Scout Service Center and help Stuff-A-Shed for ScoutReach!

The Wood Badge experience comes with decades of Scouting knowledge, a skilled and helpful staff, and a guided tour through the Scouting program. The first part of the Wood Badge experience is a two weekend intensive course where participated learn leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and team dynamics. The second half is a ticket, a series of four or five goals, using the newly acquired skills to benefit your home Unit and community. 

 

There are so many benefits to Wood Badge, Including:

  • A deeper understanding of all the Scouting programs!

The 2017 course runs on two different weekends, September 16th-18th and October 7th-9th (Sunday-Monday)

Calling all Cub Scouts! Do you like to draw and design patches? Then this challenge is for you! 

Help the Central NC Council design the T-shirt and Patch for the 2017 Cub Scout Gold Rush!

Please visit scouting.org/onlineregistration.aspx and complete the steps below to successful implement the online registration system in your unit.

  • Create/Update your My.Scouting account
  • Update your "Contact Us" pin in BeAScout.org
  • Review the Online Registration Unit Guidebook and learn how to configure the online registration tool to meet your unit's needs
  • Review training videos and how-to documents
  • Review your preparation checklist under Before You Start- Preparation Checklist 

Detailed instructions for each of these tasks can be found at scouting.org/onlineregistration.aspx. An FAQ Document is also available for additional information. For questions not answered in the FAQ, please reach out to your District Executive.
